The Abia State Police Command have arrested a man seen physically assaulting a woman in a viral video that circulated widely on social media.
Operatives of the Violent Crimes Response Unit (VCRU) in the Command led by Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Emeka Amanchukwu apprehended the unnamed man following credible intelligence received by the unit.
Upon the arrest, a photograph of him handcuffed by the officers was posted on Facebook.
The picture indicates that he was apprehended in the Ogbor Hill area of Aba where he was seen in the viral video assaulting his victim.
Report said the police launched a manhunt for him after the video of his violent act went viral.
