Man threatens wife with court for going into acting

One Sani Umar Gwarzo, has threatened to drag his estranged wife, Hafsat Tuge, to court for taking into the movie world.  

The estranged couple are based in Kano. The decision of Hafsat to become an actress and joined a popular series movie ‘Amaryar TikTok is tormenting Gwarzo, and so he threatened to take the matter to court. 

According to the report, the man is crossed with some producers alleging them of using money to entice his wife into the movie industry, and consequently her new career has gotten into her head, adding that she used to be an obedient wife.  

“It surprised me because I didn’t divorce my wife, when people called my attention to the fact that my wife is featured in a popular Hausa series film, ‘Amaryar Tiktok’. When I watched the movie, I saw her. I was very surprised. 

“They (Movie producers) just used the money to deceive my wife and put her in a movie. I will go to court to seek my right. I also want the government, Kano State Hisbah and clerics to fight for my rights,” the aggrieved spouse reportedly told newsmen. 

But the woman on her part in an interview with Freedom FM, Kano, said they are no longer together as couple, saying he personally called time on the marriage by pronouncing certain words that border on their separation. 

Her word, “When he uttered such words, I moved to my parents’ home, but he didn’t come for three months. That is why I moved on with my life.”
