Man who climbed high tension over Tinubu arrested

An unnamed man who climbed a 33kv high tension pole at Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area headquarters, in Adamawa State to call for the resignation of President Bola Tinubu has been arrested.

The young man took to the dangerous pole to demand for the President’s resignation, saying he won’t alight unless Tinubu steps down from office.

The police had to engage the service of the locals to persuade him to come down on Saturday night and now have him in their custody for attempted murder.

“The command is going to parade the man today (Monday) for attempting a suicide, You know attempting to commit a suicide is a criminal offence under our constitution, so we are going to charge him to court,” Punchng quoted Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguruje as saying.
