Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen has again collapsed on the pitch during Denmark’s international match.

Last time, Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament match between Denmark and Finland, with medical report affirming that his heart stopped for approximately five minutes before he was resuscitated by medical personnel.

This time, the ex-Man United, ex-Tottenham midfielder collapsed during his country’s friendly against Ukraine, prompting officials to abandon the match.

In a viral video of the match, Eriksen is seen clutching his chest and in turn fell to the ground in the 79th minute of the game, with medical personnel immediately rushing onto the field to attend to him.

The incident occurred while Denmark were leading Ukraine 2-1.

Following the collapse, the Danish team issued an update on the player’s condition, reassuring supporters that he was conscious.

“Christian Eriksen is conscious and doing well under the circumstances,” Denmark said in a statement.
