The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has made public the total Hajj fare for the year 2023.
NAHCON announced the cost for performing this year’s Hajj per person on Friday in Abuja.
Speaking, the commission’s Chairman, Zikirullah Kunle Hassan, said the price is in the region of N3m, with some variations.
The last-mentioned, according to Hassan, is due to difference in the costs of Air fares from some states to Saudi Arabia.
In a lowdown on the varying costs he said; pilgrims flying from Yola and Maiduguri will pay N2,8000,000 while those flying from other northern states will pay N2,919,000.00 only.
The chairman also said the southern part has six different costs, with Edo pilgrims to pay N2,968,000.00 each, while the cost for their Ekiti and Ondo counterparts is same, N2,980,000.000.
He added that those travelling from Cross River will pay N2,943,000.00, Osun, N2,983,000.00, while pilgrims from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states will both pay N2,999,000.000.
In the case of south-south and south-east states, as per Hassan’s account, it’s N2,968,000.00 per each pilgrim.
