Firdaus Akanbi, wife of Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abulrosheed Akanbi, has revealed that her courtship time with the controversial monarch was not hassle-free.
The Kano Princess turned Iwo queen and Oba Abulrosheed tied the nuptial knot around this time last year.
The 29-year-old new mum in an interview with Punchng in which she disclosed how they met through her sister, Mrs Hadiza Bayero Dambazau, wife of Lt. Gen. Dambazau (retd), former Minister of Interior, disclosed that she received plenty negative accounts about her then suitor’s behaviours, but they had no influence on her.
“No one objected to me marrying him from my side. Though there were some things that were being said about him, I do not care about that. I know who he is and what is being said against him is just meaningless to me,” the Osun queen told the publication.
