The Director General of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu has hinted that curfew imposed across the country occasioned by coronavirus will next week be amended.

Ihekweazu dropped the hint when he paid a courtesy call on Katsina Governor Aminu Masari in his office at Government House Katsina after an inspection
The NCDC boss implicitly said the current ‘total’ lockdown that exempt only those in essential services would give way to a partial one that would spare people in some other sectors.
“President Buharit will on Wednesday have a tele conference with the Governors and there will be some difficult decisions to be made on how to restart the economy, especially on what to start and what not to start,” he told the governor.
As of the time of this publication, the state has recorded seven active COVID-19 cases, of which one patient died.
