A Nigerian-American, Uloma Walker-Curry, on Monday was indicted in the 2013 murder of her husband, William Walker, alongside her daughter’s boyfriend and two others.
Over the years police in Cleveland city in Ohio in United States have been pursuing a false lead after Uloma told the police that her firefighter husband may have been killed by drug dealers in the neighbourhood.
But it turned out that 44-year-old plotted his husband’s murder after she committed financial fraud in her husband’s name.
It was also reported that the suspect incorrectly assumed that she could get money from his life insurance policy to pay for her debts.
Reports have it that Uloma recruited Chad Padgett, her daughter’s boyfriend, who recruited his cousin, Christopher Hein, who in turn hired Ryan Dorty to perform the hit, according to the statement.
The four face charges of aggravated murder, murder, conspiracy, and felonious assault.
William Walker, 45(pictured right), a lieutenant in the fire department, was shot to death in the driveway of his home on Lampson Road on Cleveland’s East Side on the night of Nov. 3, 2013.
