A desperate search for the family of a Nigerian man who reportedly slumped and died while at work in the United States has sparked an emotional appeal on social media.
The deceased, identified as Rasaki Lanre Adio, popularly known on Facebook as Man Larry, reportedly died suddenly on Sunday night while at his workplace in the US.
According to a Facebook post by Zainab Abiola, Adio was formerly a civil servant in Alausa, Lagos, before relocating to the United States.
Abiola, in the emotional appeal, called on members of the public to help locate the deceased’s relatives in Nigeria so they could be informed of the tragic development.
She said the family was being sought and urged anyone who knew Adio or could connect him to his relatives to come forward.
The sudden death means that Adio’s loved ones in Nigeria may still be unaware that tragedy has struck thousands of kilometres away.
“Please! Alert his family,” Abiola appealed in the Facebook post.
She identified his Facebook name as Man Larry, adding that his real name was Rasaki Lanre Adio.
Details surrounding what caused him to slump and die were not provided in the post.
