A Nigerian working as a science teacher in the UK was on Thursday stabbed by a 14-year-old pupil in front of other students after he confiscated the teenager’s phone, which he was using to distract the class.
50-year-old Vincent Uzomah (pictured) was reported to have been stabbed in the stomach during a lesson at Dixons Kings Academy around 9.00am.
Uzomah is a PhD student at Salford, and it was reported that other pupils watched in horror as he was stabbed and was desperately trying to stem the blood pouring from his stomach.
The father-of-two(his wife pictured right) stumbled from the classroom and collapsed in a corridor as the boy who stabbed him with a kitchen knife fled.
The boy (pictured handcuffed) has been arrested and is currently investigated for attempt murder.
