Report that fuel price is about to move up has drawn the denial of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
In consequences of the rife rumour not few petrol stations reduced operation in expectations of gaining more from the increment.
It also led to panic buying from motorists.
The speculated increase in pump price of petrol, according to a tweet by NNPCL is all lie.
It reads, “Dear esteemed customers, we at NNPC Retail value your patronage, and we do not have the intention to increase our PMS pump prices as widely speculated. Please buy the best quality products at the most affordable prices at our NNPC Retail Stations nationwide.”
