The National Youth Service Corps has weighed in on the alleged fake exemption certificate in possession of Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun making the rounds.

Controversy had swirled around the minister as allegation rife that she didn’t observe the mandatory one year national service for university and polytechnic graduates and the exemption certificate in her possession was fake.
The latter has however been denied in a statement issued by NYSC Director, Press and Public Relations, Adeyemi Adenike.
The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to the issue of the alleged forgery of an NYSC Exemption Certificate by the Honorable Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun.
“Checking our records, Mrs. Adeosun did apply for an Exemption Certificate.
“We shall investigate the origin of the purported Exemption Certificate in question.”
