Professor Richard Akindele, who was sentenced to two years imprisonment for sexually harassing a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Monica Osagie, has served his jail term.

Akindele was sacked from OAU following the scandal in which Monica recorded him while demanding five rounds of sex from her on phone as a precondition to pass his subject in 2018.
Consequently, an Osogbo High Court also found him guilty of all the four charges the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, pressed against him and sentenced him to two years imprison.
His term, according to The Cable lapsed about two weeks ago and he has since then released and now breathing the air of freedom.
