The driver of Late Oba Patrick Fasinu, the murdered traditional ruler of Owo town in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, has been arrested in connection with the monarch’s murder.
Oba Fasinu was murdered at night last Wednesday when he was returning from Yewa Traditional Council’s meeting at Ilaro.
The deceased had dropped off his driver and was driving himself home in his Toyota Camry when his attackers who were lying in wait at Ijako-Isagbo Road in Oke-Odan ambushed him in his car.
The deceased’s assailants dragged him out of the car, hacked him to death, and set fire to his remains and the car.
One of the suspects simply identified as Bolaji, was arrested in connection with Oba Fasinu’s murder.
Bolaji was arrested alongside the driver of the late monarch, police sources said.
