Oba Tajudeen Abioye, the Elesinele of Esiele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, has dismissed reports that he was arrested in connection with the abduction of pupils, students and teachers in the area.

The social media was early on Wednesday buzzed with report that Oba Tajudeen Abioye was invited and quizzed by the police over suspicion that he had hands in the mass kidnap.

Dismissing the speculation, Oba Abioye described it as false and misleading, insisting that he had neither been arrested nor detained by any security agency.

Echoing a similar theme, the Oyo State Police Command through its spokesperson, CSP Ayanlade Olayinka, described the reports as entirely false.
