The former Edo governor played a star role in Obaseki’s emergence but the two have long fallen apart over the control of the ruling party in the state.
While speaking to State House correspondents after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on the crisis rocking the party, Oshiomhole said those persecuting him are some ministers and governors including Obaseki, in allegory alluding that his successor wanted to kill.
“Let me also say that those behind this plot, the hands you saw which includes as you saw yesterday; you saw the Edo State governor and his people jubilating.
“But that is the irony of life that you will help give birth to a child and the child look for cutlass to want to chop off your neck,’’ he told newsmen.
