Ogun Chief, Balogun Lukmon Ajuwon, has felicitated President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ajuwon also complimented Tinubu’s political sagacity, heft and doggedness.
The remarks are contained in a congratulatory message he authored and made available to newsmen.
In it, the High Chief equally entreated political parties displeased with the outcome of the poll and the former Lagos governor to close ranks.
“I congratulate the President-elect. Kindly accept my warm congratulations on your victory, and my best wishes for your success as you prepare to take up the mantle of leadership of the most populous black nation, come May 29.
“Clearly, this is a reward for your hard work, perseverance, sagacity and doggedness. I entreat you to offer an olive branch to opposition parties’ members riled by your victory.
“My appeal to them is to shun violence, and abstain from actions capable of heating up the polity,” the statement reads in part.
