Ogun teacher dies after slumping in School

A teacher, Mrs Oluwatosin Aina, has died hours after she slumped in the school premises.

Aina, according to report, was a Christian Religious Knowledge teacher with Olokinne High School, Ojowo, Ijebu Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Sources said she resumed work on Thursday feeling unwell and got permission from the School’s Principal to attend to her health and was heading to her car to drive out when she collapsed near it.

Not few of the witnesses were said to have rushed to her on rescue mission and subsequently rushed her to Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital’s annex at Ijebu-Igbo where she was confirmed dead.

Meanwhile conjecture circulating among public school teachers is that she died of stress arising from work overrload occasioned by shortage of teachers in public schools in the state.

The deceased teacher was said to be in her 50s and on Level 13 or 14.
