Nine suspects have been arrested in connection with the invasion of a mosque at Idi – Iroko community in Ipokia LGA, Ogun State by traditional worshippers.

To recap, about a month ago, Oro adherents during their festival invaded the said mosque shattering its glasses after some Muslims and Christians defied the curfew imposed by the celebrants.

In anger, many Muslims and  Christians  were beaten and their properties were also vandalized.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the nine suspects who were Oro adherents were arrested while committing the act.

The PPRO said the suspects would be charged to court for breach of peace and other criminal acts.
