The police at Ejigbo division in Lagos are looking for a man accused of beaten his two years old son to death and secretly burying him.

The alleged murder happened at Fashola Street at Ejigbo in Oshodi-Isolo Local Council Development Area.

The suspect, identified as Oni Mama (not the one pictured), a commercial motorcyclist, was alleged to have secretly buried the remains of his son around the area after he beat him to death.

He was living alone with the victim because the mother abandoned him after the estranged couple had a quarrel and she went to remarry.

Since then, Oni Mama has been finding it difficult to cope with taking care of the boy and at the same time going to work every day.

It was said that on that fateful day, the child, apparently hungry, was seen crying and chasing his father who was about moving out on his motorcycle. And out of anger, his father was said to have dragged him inside and allegedly hit him several times until he died.

Oni Mama was later seen carrying a sack dripping with blood out of the building, consequent upon which curious tenants alerted policemen at Ejigbo.

However, before the arrival of Policemen at Ejigbo Division, the suspect had fled and could not be found. Some of his co-tenants were said to have been taken to the station, where their statements were taken.
