A woman, Mrs. Olamide Akinbobola, has killed her husband, Dare Akinbobola, allegedly while fighting him off at their residence in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

Mrs. Olamide, a teacher, has been taken into custody of the police at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti on account of the disastrous incident which ensued on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old suspect, according to reports, had a tense relation with her late husband as claims by their neighbours rife that the couple’s marriage was fraught with spousal abuse with the deceased said to be the aggressor and a vicious abuser.
It was gathered that on such occasion when they engaged in physical fight, the suspect was always on the receiving end and she would run out of the house.
However, things came to a head on the fateful day when she refused to take flight during a toxic row, and instead, defended herself with a knife, and stabbed him causing his death.
The Police Public Relation Officer, Lagos State Police Command, SP Chike Oti, has confirmed the incident, and the suspect’s arrest.
