
The suspect, who is fondly called Nana, turned 17th last week. She allegedly stabbed 20-year-old Tomide to death on Sunday evening after an argument ensued between them.
Sources said trouble started when Nana overheard Tomide wooing a lady on phone and became furious. She demanded that he dropped the call but he refused.
His refusal was said to have led into an argument that turned into fight during which she plunged a scissors into his chest.
“Tomade’s friends rushed into his room when they heard him screaming and found him lying in the pool of his blood. He was rejected at Talent Specialist Hospital located in Banire Bus-stop, Egbeda Idimu Rd Alimosho Local Government Area, where he was rushed to, and from there moved to Igando General Hospital, But it was quite unfortunate that he couldn’t survive it as he was confirmed dead before getting to Igando General Hospital,” sources told OrijoReporter.
It was further gathered that father of the deceased, Mr. Akintewe .O. Felix is a retired Police Officer. He is said to live in the United States, and his late son was billed to join him next month.
The spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Olarinde Famous-Cole, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) confirmed the incident, adding that the case would be transferred to the Homicide Department for further action.
