Pastor Benedict Mgdire of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Georgia, United States of America (USA) branch, is currently on bail after he was arrested for defrauding a member of the church, Ken Chibueze Onu, of $38,000.

Onu, an engineer, who used to be minted, and gifted Lord’s Chosen two buildings at Mbaitolu and Ikeduru(both in Imo State), which serve as the church branches is going through a rough patch at the moment – no thanks to the alleged dupe, Pastor Mgdire.
“I singlehandedly financed the opening of the Mbaitolu and Ikeduru branches of the church in Imo State. What is happening between Pastor Mgdire and I is quite unfortunate.
“My son, who is schooling in the church’s school(Chosen International Secondary School), located at Mgbidi Oru West, Local Government Area, Imo State, was sent out of the school because we couldn’t pay his school fees.” Onu told New Telegraph.
He explained that he became a victim of Pastor Mgdire, who double as an importer, after the latter approached him for a loan of $38,000 for his business but after collecting the money the pastor became unreachable.
He added that a point he met with General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, on the issue and was assured by the GO that Mgdire would pay him the money.
“My problem is that most of the money was borrowed from banks and the interest was galloping every day. At a point, I could no longer sleep. The pastor refused to pick my calls or do anything about our business deal,” Onu told the paper.
