One Pastor Samson Awolola has died of fire in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The account in circulation says the deceased was 73-year-old and his death occurred on Monday morning at his private property in Irewolede area of the metropolis.
Sources stated that Pastor Awolola’s property was fenced and gated with an incomplete building in it.
He was said to have been caught in the inferno he created after setting the bushes and grass in the building on fire.
It was further gathered that the flames blocked the property’s only exit, with a labourer he had brought to assist him at the property escaping through the fence.
The Kwara State Fire Service confirmed the incident via a statement its Public Relations Officer, Hassan Adekunle released.
