A pastor identified as Roland Peter has been arrested in Rivers State for being a member of a gang that allegedly slaughtered another Pastor, Pastor Samuel Okpara and used the deceased’s organs to make pepper soup.
The State Commissioner for Police, Zaki Ahmed, disclosed this on Monday while parading 25 suspected criminals in Port Harcourt.
Ahmed said Peter(pictured) was a member a ritualist gang that was led by one Justus, popularly called High-Tension.
The Police Commissioner alleged that the gang abducted Pastor Okpara at Edoha community in Ahoada East on August 15, 2017, slaughtered their victim, and used the deceased’s intestines and liver to prepare pepper soup, which they consumed with plantain porridge.
He said during a raid on suspected kidnappers’ dens in the state Peter was arrested.
The suspect, who claimed to be a pastor distanced himself from the abduction and killing of Pastor Okpara.
