One Apostle Ubong Bassey Etim has been sentenced to death for killing his 16-year-old daughter, Deborah Bassey.
Justice Blessing Egwu of High Court No. 11 Calabar handed down the judgment to Etim on Monday.
The convict was found guilty of committing the crime after accusing the daughter who had Down Syndrome of witchcraft and for that false reason killed the teenage girl.
Justice Egwu sentenced the convict to death by hanging.
Recall that the death of Deborah aroused public wrath, particularly in the community of child and human rights groups.
