A petrol station owner, Mr. Sesan Adelabu has killed his wife, Bola, and himself in Ondo State.
The incident happened at Alagbaka area of Akure.
Report said Adelabu macheted his wife to death on adulterous allegation grounds, and subsequently the petrol station owner drank insecticide and killed himself too.
Commenting on the issue, Spokesman for the Ondo State Police Command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, a Superintendent of Police (SP), said it was the couple’s child that helped the security detail to see their corpses.
“The child, around 6pm, was asking about his father because he was not picking his calls. The policeman found him face down and lifeless in the toilet while his wife’s body was found on the bed with multiple cuts suspected to be machete cuts on her head and face.
“An empty container of Sniper was also found at the-scene.
“Investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident and scene cordoned off to enable police do the needful please,” the PPRO stated.
