Philip Osondu, former golden eaglets’ striker has died at age 48.
Osondu was a prominent figure in the Eaglet’s squad to Canada 1987 where the team won silver while he scooped an individual honour, the best player of the tournament.

His eye-catching performance earned him a transfer to the then European giant, Anderlecht of Belgium where he was a flop.
The 48-year-old reportedly died on arrival at a Belgian hospital he took himself to for treatment on Thursday after observing some abnormal physiology of his body system.
