Police Arrested for stealing Car In Kogi

A police inspector attached to ‘C’ Division of the Kogi State Police Command, Alhaji Aminu Muhammed, has been arrested over allegation that he partook in a car theft.

Muhammad was arrested alongside other suspects among them, a panel beater, one Arome Moses.

The officer, according to report, conspired with other suspects to steal the vehicle at a residence near his duty post on June 14, 2024.

Their bubble, however burst when the stolen vehicle was found in Moses’ workshop at Ochadamu while the panel beater was in the process of changing the car’s colour.

The discovery resulted in Muhammad and other suspects’ arrest.

Report added that before they were found out, the theiving suspects had changed the car’s number plate to that of Abuja with a car dealer’s receipt backdated to 2020.
