The Kano State Police Command has launched a manhunt for miscreants booing and demanding for the removal of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
Bayero had on Sunday during the inauguration of Hasiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital, near the Emir’s palace verbally assaulted by miscreants who also called for his removal.
On Monday at a press briefing, the state Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Gumel, said the perpetrators have been identified and the police on their trail.
“Six persons have been identified. We used technology to track them down. We are still analysing the video footage, and we are making efforts to arrest all those involved. We are also making efforts to get their sponsors.
“Traditional institution is a respectable institution; anybody who messes around with the traditional institution is a saboteur and an enemy of the state,” Gumel said.
