Scores of police officers drafted to Osun State for last Saturday’s governorship poll protested on Monday over the non-payment of their ‘dislocation allowances.’

Most of the protesters were officers drafted from Delta and Edo States. They alleged that they were paid N15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) per person after the Ekiti State governorship election but were surprised when the authority started dishing out a paltry N10,000(Ten Thousand Naira).

The police barricaded the road leading to the Osun State Police Command in Osogbo.
Efforts to speak with the State Police Command PRO were rebuffed.
