A Point of Sale (POS) operator, simply identified as Alfa Rafiu, has been arrested in Ilorin, Kwara state.
Alfa’s was apprehended over allegation that a total of N280m sent to his bank account in pieces by mistake appropriated it to himself, instead of handling over to the authorities.
The suspect, as per report, is a resident of Akuji compound, Abayawo area in the Ilorin West local government area of the state, and the incident happened some weeks ago.
As the money landed in his account, he reportedly turned into a big spender; bought cars, houses and even sponsored some persons to lesser Hajj.
His arrest which was confirmed by the state police command spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi (SP), is made by the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID), Ikoyi, Lagos.
