A pregnant mother, Esther Godday, has landed in trouble for allegedly stabbing one Mrs. Imeran Idema to death in a dispute arising from a bunch of plantain.
Godday, a mother-of-nine, is pregnant with her tenth child.
According to report, she got into police trouble in the course of looking for food to feed her children by crooked means.
This happened on January 28, at Agada village in Abua, Rivers State.
Report said she stealthily entered a plantain plantation belonging to Mrs Idema’s family to steal a bunch of plantain, and was caught in the act by the deceased.
The latter it was said, asked Godday to drop the loot but she refused, and resorted to hit the suspect with machete in the leg causing her injuries.
In the reprisal that followed, the mother of nine struck Mrs Idema with cutlass in her possession with the injuries leading to the death of deceased while the police have picked up her killer.
