The wave of protest arising from high cost of living has hit Lagos as some residents of the state protested in Ibeju-Lekki area.

Kano, Niger, Kogi and Osun have recorded protest as a result of the untold-economic hardship that is prevailing.

Lagos joined suits at the weekend with market women and youths protesting in the said area.

The protesters carried placards with the inscriptions such as “Baba Tinubu, Nigerians are hungry”, and ‘Tinubu, come and rescue us”, among others.

Since the removal of the petrol subsidy in May 2023, prices of commodities in the country have been going up.
