Charly Boy on Tuesday was almost lynched at Wuse Market in Abuja during his visit to the market with members of the #ResumeOrResign, a group protesting against President Muhammadu Buhari’s continued medical vacation in the UK.

The popular entertainer(pictured on arrival at the market) led the group to the popular market to mobilise people for the planned protest of the group slated for Wednesday, which will mark 100 days of the President’s vacation.
He was, however, attacked by angry protesters believed to be pro Buhari. They reportedly beat him and damaged his car.
“We just went to Wuse market for mobilization against 100 days event tomorrow and a regular face at Unity Fountain brought thugs to attack us.
“They attacked us with police on Tuesday. Tried to attack us at Unity Fountain with their government sponsored thugs. Today is Wuse Market.
“Charly Boy’s car was damaged by the thugs. This is a senseless government. #ResumeOrResign,” one of the leaders of the group, Deji Adeyanju wrote on twitter.
Meanwhile FCT Police Command has ordered the closure of the market following the incident.
The move was to forestall reprisal attack and protect lives and properties, according to FCT, Police public relations officer, Anjuri Manzah.
Manzah, in an interview with Daily Sun, on the attack, said “The prompt intervention by police operatives has averted a major clash between two opposing sides at Wuse market.
He said “The police have brought the situation under control.
“To forestall further breakdown of law and order, the market management has ordered the closure of the market.
