The Rivers State chapter of Labour Party has announced its endorsement of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sim Fubara.
There has been a tussle between Comrade Beatrice Itubo and Fafaa Dan Princewill over who between them is Labour Party governorship candidate in the State.
Ahead of the D-day, the state Chairman of the party, Deinye Pepple, at a news briefing in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, said its members have adopted Fubara as their candidate in the coming Saturday’s poll.
Justifying the PDP standard bearer’s adoption, Pepple said, it was motivated by Justice and fairness, which Labour Party is allegedly known for.
According to him, “Voting a riverine candidate in the person of Simimialayi Fubara from the South East Senatorial District of the state during the up coming governorship poll ensures that the Labour Party and her members are defenders and ambassadors of the values that have set her Obidient movement apart from all other parties.”
