Report of being sick is swirling around Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
The rumour which spread like wildfire was being fuelled by the absence of Akeredolu in the state in the last eight weeks.
The report making the rounds claimed the governor has been away to seek medical treatment. But it was silent on the nature of the said sickness.
However, Mr. Segun Ajiboye, the chief press secretary to Akeredolu, dismissed the report and faulted it in an interview with The Sun.
“The governor is hale and hearty and there is no cause for alarm. Only two days ago, he received the African Governor Innovative Award at a well-attended event in Abuja. The photographs from the event is everywhere. So, I really don’t know where this is coming from,” Ajiboye told the paper.
