A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Ekene Enefe, has excused decision of the Independent Electoral Commission to ignore electronic transmission of election results for manual transmittal.

The path INEC trod to transmit Saturday’s election result is one of the foundations of Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party and NNPP’s outcry.

The trio are accusing the electoral umpire of wilful deployment of manual transmission in order to favour the ruling All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu with rigging.

Enefe, who is also in charge of contact mobilisation in the APC Presidential Campaign Council on Friday during a live appearance on Arise Television, said INEC took the manual step to beat some of the political parties, allegedly found to have hired hackers from Russia and Israel to manipulate the poll’s outcome on the umpire’s server.

“But people do not know how many times the Independent National Electoral Commission server was hacked and attacked. And this was done by political parties that brought in Russian and Israeli hackers (I’m just giving you an intelligence report that I’m privileged to) to hack into INEC server and to transmit the end result and create chaos.

“None of them succeeded and that is why the election, to the best of my knowledge, was not transmitted on INEC server,” he remarked.
