One Abdul’azeez Aliyu popularly known as Dan-malam has been killed in Gombe State.
Aliyu was a newly married man having wedded his wife, Jamila, on December 26, 2025, according to report which gave his age as 27-year-old.
The report said he recently secured employment in Abuja and was in Gombe at a café business he ran when he met his death at the hands of his ex-worker.
The latter as per the account in circulation was previously sacked by Aliyu and had ill feelings towards his ex-boss.
The aggrievement bordered on claim that the victim was owing him some monies, and on Saturday fight ensued between both in the course of which the unnamed killer stabbed the bridegroom to death.
As stated by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Gombe State Command, SP Buhari Abdullahi, the suspect, a 16-year-old boy, has been arrested
“The suspect claimed he was demanding money owed to him by the victim. An argument broke out and he stabbed Abdul’azeez in anger,” the police spokesman narrated.
