Senator Olajide Ipinsagba’s aide, Oluwatunbosun Awe, has resigned from his position on grounds of meagre pay.

Ipinsagba is the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District.

Awe, according to his resignation letter which has gone viral, until Wednesday when he communicated the development served as the Senator’s liaison officer for Isowopo Ward 2 in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

In the viral letter, he cited receipt of monthly N20,000 in salary as motivation behind his resignation, saying the sum is below minimum wage, and out of touch with present economic realities.

“This is in response to the N20,000 monthly salary paid to me, which is out of touch with present economic realities and a far cry from the new national minimum wage,” the letter reads.
