Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested Private Mohammed Yusuf, a Nigerian Army soldier who was declared wanted for allegedly supplying military uniforms and other accoutrements to terrorists and criminal elements.
He was apprehended on July 25, 2026, at Jidari Bus Stop in Maiduguri while allegedly attempting to flee to Cameroon after intelligence-led operations tracked his movements.
The military said Yusuf had absconded from his unit and was hiding in Jere Local Government Area before his arrest.
He is currently in custody as investigations continue to determine the extent of his alleged activities and identify possible accomplices.
The Army said the arrest reflects its commitment to accountability and warned that anyone involved in aiding terrorists through the illegal diversion of military equipment would face the full weight of the law.
