A lesson teacher simply identified as Michael who was accused of raping his student in Ketu area of Lagos State has been remanded in the custody of Ikoyi Correctional Centre.
This medium citing Punchng had earlier reported that Michael had carnal knowledge of his victim after she resumed for the lesson class before her colleagues.
According to the report after having his way, Michael threatened to kill the unnamed victim if she told her parents.
It turned out that she told her school authorities who in turn passed the information to her
As stated in the report, it became a police matter, with the victim’s parents alleging police of trying to bury the case and pestering them to withdraw the case and accept N200,000 offered by Michael.
Official account has now emerged through the same Punchng that the accused has been arraigned before an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court.
“The suspect has been arraigned before the Ogudu Magistrates’ Court and remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre,” the publication quoted Lagos command’s spokesperson, CSP Abimbola Adebisi, as saying, adding that the matter was adjourned until August 24 for hearing.
