The Peoples Democracy Party, PDP, said some governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are in talks with them with the views to join their ranks.
PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Diran Odeyemi, made this remark in an interview he granted Channels Television’s Politics Today programme monitored by our correspondent.
Speaking in response to APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena’s claim that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was working for the incumbent government because “he is a progressive”, Odeyemi balked at the suggestion saying there was nothing progressive about the ruling party.
He added that some APC governors are on their way to join the PDP.
His word, “Many APC governors are talking to us. Perhaps, Nigerians have not seen the end of these activities. More governors of APC are coming to join us. 2023 will destabilise APC.
“The question we have to ask ourselves is that what has been the achievements of the APC now that will now warrant people to join them if not for selfish reason?”
