A man has been arrested in United States for decapitating his mother at the family’s Oldsmar home on New Year’s Eve, all because she was fond of his elder brother.
Wfl.com reports that 23-year-old Christian Jose Gomez(pictured) is facing murder charge after killing his mother, 48-year-old Maria Suarez-Cassagne on Wednesday at 7:24pm.
Reports have it that Christian hit his mother over the head with an axe, then cut her head off her in the garage and dragged the body to the garbage outside the home.
Police say Christian had been planning his mother’s murder for two days.
According to investigators, Christian was angry over his mother “nagging” to put boxes away in the attic, and her preference for his elder brother, Mario Gomez.
Christian admitted he put his mother’s head in a garbage can outside the home and then attempted to put her body in the garbage, as well, but it was too heavy. Cassagne’s body was found by her older son, Mario.
The 26-year-old was home at the time of the crime, but thought the noises he heard was Christian putting the boxes away.
The investigation is ongoing.
