Governors of Southeast state have expressed their readiness to support any person of Igbo extraction in cow rearing just as they announced plot to establish jointly establish forest guards.

The decisions were parts of the resolutions reached by the four governors of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu and contained in a communique read by the forum chairman, Gov. Dave Umahi.

The forum also said the areas have huge potentials in oil and gas urging the federal government to tap the vast resources.

The communique reads in part: “The forum noted that Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi states have abundant oil and gas reserves which have not been fully explored. The forum, therefore, call on the federal government to show more commitment and commence intensive exploration and development of oil and gas resources in these states of the South East.”
