The Kwara State Commissioner for sports, Pharmacist Kale Ayo, is enmeshed in controversy over the sale of some vehicles belonging to Kwara State Ministry of Sports.

Pharmacist Ayo was alleged to have supervised the sale of the ministry’s serviceable and unserviceable vehicles at giveaway prices to his cronies.
Sources told OrijoReporter that the State Head of Service had earlier granted the sports ministry’s request through a memo to sell all unserviceable vehicles in the ministry.
It was said that the Commissioner single handedly oversaw the sale of the vehicles to the chagrin of some top official of the ministry who were also denied of acquiring the vehicles.
The vehicles include, Peugeot Salon Car, Bus of different brands, Toyota Camry Car and trucks among others. They were allegedly acquired by Commissioner’s aides and his associates.
OrijoReporter was told that the Commissioner and the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary are not in good terms.
