Some staff of the First Bank have been arrested in connection with the ill-fated robbery of the bank’ Mpape branch in Abuja.
Recall that a robbery gang stormed the branch on Saturday for operation with the cash stuffed in the Automated Teller Machine as their target but were foiled by security operatives.
It has however emerged that some of the branch’s staff were privy to it and even sold the idea of attacking the bank to the robbers and have been arrested alongside.
The number of the bank staff in custody of police on suspicion of conspiracy in the foiled robbery were unknown as of press time but according to police source, four robbers are in the police net and were said to be singing canary.
