The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has expressed displeasure at the general abuse of Naira notes.
This was made in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital on Thursday by the Director, Corporate Communications Department of the apex bank, Dr. Isa Abdulmumin at the CBN Fair.
Abdulmumin said hawking, spraying naira at parties and counterfeiting it are abuse of the currency.
He went on to urge members of the public to see Naira as the country’s critical symbol of national identity, stressing that the onus lies on them to respect and keep it clean.
