Suspected Fulani militia loyal to Iskilu Wakilin, allegedly their ring leader on Monday killed four persons in Idiyan, Ibarapa area of Oyo State in a renewed hostility.
Wakilin, believed to be behind kidnapping, killings and raid on farmlands in the area was on Sunday apprehended by members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and handed over to the police.
The four victims, two of whom were members of local vigilance group were hacked to death around 2am in their homes.
Oyo State Police spokesman Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the killings adding that the victims’ remains were deposited at Fadok Hospital morgue to enable investigation.
