Some civil servants in the employ of the federal government have claimed various prizes for doing well at their desks.

This is according to a statement released by the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

It said, the presentation happened on Saturday at a Gala/Award Night to mark the 2023 Civil Service Week, with recognition and honour to outstanding civil servants one of the events.

The report said HOCSF, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan presented star prizes to the winners, a Brand New 2022 JAC JS4 Luxury Model SUV to Mrs Juwon Olayiwola of the Federal Ministry of Education; a two-Bedroom Semi-Detached Bungalow to Mr. Nwachukwu of Service Welfare Office, Office of the HOCSF and the third prize, a plot of land, allocated to Mrs. Chukwueke Stella Oluchi, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

By the way, according to the account, President Bola Tinubu used the platform to reiterate his statement that the federal government is on a mission to allay the discomfort oil subsidy removal imposed on the common man.

Tinubu’s representative, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, stated this saying, We shall without delay cushion the pains being experienced by our people as a result of these measures through a number of well-targeted interventions aimed at giving adequate relief and succour to a great number of our long- suffering citizens.”
